Welcome! This is the website of a museum, our museum in Riofreddo, and it has a quite interesting name: “Museo delle Culture Villa Garibaldi”, but it can be shortened in one easy abbreviation: MuDeCu
Let’s get things started! But first, let us introduce ourselves: this is a great and young community where women, men, professionals and graduates are less than 35 years old (for now!); MuDeCu and its village, Riofreddo, are very close to their hearts and everyday they study and work hard in order to make work and natural environment welcoming and give you a unique experience

There is the need to say that with its territory and population Riofreddo includes several cultures and tradition, and it is our aim to widen and spread this knowledge. Also, we aim at conveying the values of Ricciotti Garibaldi’s family, son of the famous General Giuseppe Garibaldi, whose descendants live in the attractive villa where our museum is arranged
First of all, our museum is part of a huge community called “Sistema Museale Medaniene”, which also involves other museums from neighboring villages like Anticoli Corrado, Arcinazzo Romano, Arsoli, Cervara di Roma and Roviano. Hoping that all of you will be excited to come visit us, we also suggest you to go visit all of them with the same passion and curiosity. You will always be warmly welcomed

Our museum has the privilege to be inhabited by one of Giuseppe Garibaldi’s descendants, Annita Garibaldi, Ricciotti Garibaldi’s granddaughter. If you come visit us, you will have the opportunity to explore Garibaldi’s family heirlooms alongside Annita, a real member of the family
In our website you will be able to explore and even preview the objects of our collection, read news about our activities, join upcoming events and visit the online shop of the museum. MuDeCu is deeply rooted to its territory and claims to be the starting point where everyone gets to know Riofreddo and the attractive villages of the “Valle dell’Aniene”, which offers breathtaking landscapes, multiple cultures, efficient sports facilities and gastronomic delights
